Mauna Kea Golf Course Tees Up A December Reopening

Rockefeller and Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the historic Mauna Kea Golf Course is being revitalized by Rees Jones Inc., as part of a sweeping $150 million repair and renovation project of the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Golf Course on the Big Island of Hawaii.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (September 24, 2007) MAUNA KEA RESORT, HI – The tee-to-green upgrading of the award-winning Mauna Kea Golf Course is underway with a redesign that will produce a new standard for oceanfront golfing on the Gold Coast of Hawaii’s Big Island. Led by renowned golf designer Rees Jones, son of the course’s original architect, Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the Mauna Kea Golf Course will be completely remodeled and reopened in Fall 2008.
