Tennis
Seaside Tennis Club
The Seaside Tennis Club at Mauna Kea Resort is one of the best tennis facilities in Hawaii offering hard surface all-weather courts oceanside.
Located on the grounds of Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, the Seaside Tennis Club is open daily, 7:00am to 6:00pm, and may be reached by phone at (808) 882-5420.

Hours of operation at resort shops are subject to change without notice. Additional shopping is nearby in the quaint upcountry town of Waimea (20 minutes away) and the King's Shops at Waikoloa (10 minutes away).
Helicopter Tours
Mauna Kea Resort is the only Kohala resort with its own helipad on property. Sunshine Helicopters owns and operates a fleet of six "Black Beauties" equipped with five video cameras and cushioned, virtually soundproof for comfort. Activity desks at both hotels make sign up easy whether you want to see Kilauea Volcano to the South or the lush valleys to the east and everything in between. Private charters available.

Stargazing
The sky is so consistently clear over Kohala that even in mid-morning, the moon can still be seen hanging over the ocean. Stargazing is one of the most popular activities available at nearby Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. A high-powered telescope is set up for you to view the Hawaiian skies with the guidance of professional astronomers.

Art Tours
Explore over 1,600 pieces of museum-quality Pacific and Asian arts and artifacts including traditional Hawaiian made handmade quilt displayed throughout Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. You may take a self-guided tour any time or take our complimentary tour, available on Thursdays at 10:30am beginning in the lobby.
Manta Ray Viewing
At Mauna Kea's Manta Ray Point, you can view wild manta rays in their natural environment. Best time for viewing is nightly from 7pm to 10pm. Located just outside of the Pavilion restaurant.

Guests may also enjoy hiking and jogging, as well as the many historical attractions provided by the Big Island's surrounding areas. And don't miss trying your hand at the resort's two world-class golf courses: Hapuna Golf Course and Mauna Kea Golf Course. A complimentary inter-resort shuttle is available three times per hour for transportation between Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel.
