Prince Resorts Hawaii. And Beyond.


Prince Resorts Hawaii operates three luxury oceanfront hotels and golf courses in Hawai'i, including the Prince Waikiki on the island of Oahu.

On Hawai'i Island, the company operates The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, both part of Mauna Kea Resort on the Kohala Coast of the Island of Hawai'i.

Prince golf courses include the 18-hole Mauna Kea Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones and recently redesigned by his son, Rees Jones. Also on Hawai'i Island is the 18-hole, Arnold Palmer-Ed Seay designed Hapuna Golf Course. Both golf courses are part of Mauna Kea Resort. On Oahu, Prince operates the 27-hole Hawaii Prince Golf Club, also designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay.

Prince Hotels Worldwide

Prince Resorts Hawaii Inc. is a subsidiary of Japan's Seibu Holdings Inc. and part of that company's international family of Prince Hotels.

In addition to its hospitality operations in Hawai'i, Prince Hotels operates 43 hotels and other lodging facilities in Japan, China, and Taiwan. Prince also operates 28 golf courses, nine ski slopes, hot springs, tennis courts, movie theatres, aquariums, and other venues.

Staywell Holdings Pty Limited

Prince Hotels is the parent company of Staywell Holdings, one of the largest hotel management groups in the Asia-Pacific region. Together, Prince and Staywell offer a diverse portfolio of properties across a combined worldwide network of 72 hotels.

Prince and StayWell have a strategic goal to open 250 hotels in the months and years ahead. The expansion of both company brands will occur across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Asia, Japan, Taiwan, Oceania, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

Prince Hotels operates a combined network of 50 hotels, 31 golf courses and 9 ski resorts. StayWell has an existing network of 22 hotels and a further 14 hotels that are scheduled to open over the next few years. In addition, StayWell has two key strategic partners, Manhattan Hotel Group in China (19 hotels) and Cristal Group in the Middle East (11 hotels).

Seibu Holdings Inc.

Seibu Holdings Inc. owns Japan's Seibu Railway, a major passenger railway company founded in 1912, which is the parent of Prince Resorts Hawaii. Currently, Seibu Holdings Inc. owns more than 53 companies, collectively known as the Seibu Group.


Management Team



Shigeki Yamane
President

Veteran hospitality executive, Shigeki Yamane, was named president of Prince Resorts Hawaii (PRH) in December of 2021. He oversees three hotels and resorts, and three golf courses in the Prince Hawaii portfolio. He also has responsibility for Mauna Kea Resort Services, South Kohala Water Company, and subsidiary companies.

Yamane, previously vice president of planning at PRH for the past eight years is a law graduate from the prestigious Waseda University in Japan. In addition to his various management positions with Prince Hotels in Japan, including at the renown The Prince Park Tower Tokyo and Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, he held hotel management positions in Canada and Singapore. Most notably he led an elite delegation in charge of VVIP receptions at a Tokyo State Guesthouse hosting foreign government dignitaries for three years and was invited to act as an adviser for Tokyo 2020 Olympics Bid Committee in 2013.

Yamane has an unflinching dedication to hospitality, learned throughout his career in a multitude of locales and varied cultures. His decision-making, he says, is based on the fundamentals of hospitality.

Today, Yamane is focused on positioning Prince Resorts Hawaii as a hub for the international growth of Seibu Holdings. He is committed to ensure that as Prince grows it retains its legacy of caring for its people like family by creating an environment that enables employees to share their passion for their career while assisting them with programs that support them both on and off the job.
